A native of the Chicago suburbs, Danielle Dileto is a percussion major at VanderCook College of Music under the direction of Mr. Jim Yakas. She is expected to complete her bachelor’s degree in music education in the spring of 2018, and hopes to be teaching band and general music at a k to 5 level.
Ms. Dileto began her musical career in fifth grade beginning band as a percussionist and became a featured performer for the Minooka Community High School. Her experience in ensembles such as The Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Joliet Junior College Community band helped drive her passion for music and the decision to go into teaching music. She was also very involved with WGI programs in the area such as Minooka Indoor Percussion, and Pioneer Indoor; this fulfilled her passion for performing and entertaining.
Ms. Dileto is very excited to be working with the Illinois Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society in hopes to making great connections with her fellow percussion enthusiasts.

studies percussion with Jamie V. Ryan and plays in the Wind Symphony,
Percussion Ensemble, and the Basketball Band. Once he completes his
undergraduate studies he hopes to continue on to graduate study in

learning from his many teachers: Thomas Benko, Anthony Graffeo, and
He began his
musical studies when he was about 10 years old, receiving his first
lessons from his middle school band director and piano lessons from
his 5th grade teacher. Once he reached high school,
percussion became a very important part of his life. In addition to
studying music, Rodney finds a lot of joy in educating young
musicians. In doing so, he has gladly taught many high school groups.
One of his favorite things about percussion is the undeniably
inclusive community it has to offer. That’s why Rodney extremely
excited to be part of the ILPAS team!
